A friend of mine lent an audio book, on CD, to a friend of his. While the second friend was busy, the sound stopped. When he got a chance to check on the CD player, he found the disc stopped, and with this hole burnt into the metalized layer.
This gives a whole (hole?) new meaning to the phrase 'burn a CD'.
