A whole lot of bulbs, from a fund-raising thing at Michael's school, are now starting to bloom.
Details: Nikon 105mm 1:2.8 macro, ~f/5.6, 1/160s, ISO 400 pushed to 800.
Wow that Blue colour is totally amazing!
I NEED a macro lens... amazing shot, love it!
Colour, texture, DOF - all great. For a "simple" flower photo this one really has it all.
Simply lovely when a blossom 'sits' upon the bokeh, so delicately perched.
I agree this is an amazing shot of an anemone. Turfdigger, what does bokeh mean?
Mike: Bokeh is a word I hadn't heard either, until I started reading photoblog comments. It refers to the appearance of the out-of-focus sections of a photograph -- it's affected by the attributes of the lens, like aperture shape.

thanks Marty :-)
