Raspberry Cake Thingy (Friand)
July 10, 2005
Theen and I got a chance to take a leisurely walk in the hills, today. Afterwards we stopped at a cafe in Stirling, and I had this very tasty muffin-like thing. But, for the life of me, I can't remember what the chap behind the counter called it — all I can remember is that it was a word that had some completely different meaning to me.
Update: Thanks to Gordon at lookANDsee, it's a Friand. It doesn't even have its own Wikipedia entry yet.
OK, so what I thought the guy said was Freon :-). Perhaps if I play my cards, and my metadata, right, this photo might make it to number 1 on a Google images search for Friand.
Details: Nikon 50mm 1:1.8D, f/1.8, 1/125s, ISO 200.

This is a great shot I agree with Walker the light is perfect. I simply must have one - unfortunately I'm in Bristol UK, and don’t know where I can get one to try. Will have to search the net for a recipe I suppose.
